Hi, I’m Valla.
I write Field Notes to increase our understanding and agency in times of change.
My goal is to explain change in ways that seem obvious once they’re pointed out, but were difficult to see before.
To do that, I move across technology, business, culture, politics, and society, because I don’t believe the present can be understood through the tools of any single domain.
I publish new essays every few weeks. In between, I share what I’m reading, watching, listening to, and noticing.
